we are in big trouble! it all started when scott placed sawyer on the bed last week. he had just set sawyer down when all of a sudden, he rolled from his tummy to his back. scott put sawyer on his tummy again, and sure enough, he flipped over. for the rest of the week we tried to see if he could turn over consistently, but sawyer would just get frustrated and start crying. "whew!" we thought, "maybe we have a little more time." we both know that once the rolling over starts, every other kind of moving around is sure to follow. (our place is definitely not baby proof yet!) then, to our mix of joy, wonder, and dismay, sawyer proved to us that he is the one with the plans. he is now rolling over all of the time. at least it is still only when he is placed on his tummy. (he hasn't mastered the back-to-tummy move yet.) we have a couple more weeks of changing diapers on the bed and sofa...right? yeah, i know....keep dreamin'.

last year, right before we were married, scott and i were knocked over by the news that we were not going to be able to go to the temple like we planned. then, we were even more blown away by the reaction of some of our family members. we were also concerned that we would be thought less of by our friends and extended family. we waited our allotted "year" and were sealed just a week ago. we were both emotional, although i was the biggest crier. the room was filled with some of our favorite people in this world, some of whom we were surprised to see, and we missed those who could not make it. when they brought sawyer in, the whole room lost it. it was a very special event in our lives that we will never forget and although i feel overjoyed and i know that i should be jumping up and down, telling everyone we know, shouting from the rooftops...instead, i am feeling very private and contemplative about it. i guess this must be a small example of how mary felt after she held the Savior in her arms. she was so overwhelmed that she "pondered all of these things in her heart." sometimes words cannot express what you feel. sometimes being quiet and thoughtful is the best way to convey how you feel.

ok, so i will never be accused of being a 'blogger.' i told my friends who kept telling me that 'i had to have a blog' that i don't have enough time to keep it up. i wasn't kidding! i finally gave in and made one anyway, but don't expect much.
